Summary of the bill.
The bill amends Law 79 of 2011 on trafficking in persons to expand its definitions and reorganize the National Commission against Trafficking in Persons. It also develops victims’ rights, identification, protection, and compensation. It amends offenses and penalties in the Criminal Code, changes an allocation of funds under Law No. 16 of 2004, and repeals three Criminal Code provisions.
