Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to supersede Law 46 of July 17, 2013 and establish an adoption framework for children and adolescents. The framework gives priority to their remaining with their families of origin and to identifying family care alternatives before a declaration of adoptability. It governs the assessment of prospective adopters, family matching, preadoption care, judicial decisions, subsequent monitoring, international adoption and adoption of adults.
