Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to replace Law 16 of 2016 and organize Community Peace Justice in the corregimientos through judges and mediators. Community justice centers would be attached to the Ministry of Government (Ministerio de Gobierno). The bill regulates the provision of the service free of charge, the duties and qualifications of those positions, and the procedure for selecting and appointing community judges.
