Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes mandatory mother tongue instruction in public and private schools at the first and second levels of education. The instruction would be provided in the 12 territories and 7 comarcas of the Republic of Panama (República de Panamá). The bill also provides for community programs, teacher training, curriculum coordination and funding to deliver that instruction.
