Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to amend Law 9 of March 16, 2006 to conserve and restore shark and ray populations in the Republic of Panama. It would prohibit targeted fishing and several commercial activities involving these species, regulate incidental catch, and assign inspection, data collection, education and enforcement duties to the competent authorities.
