Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to restrict imports of products that imitate, substitute for, or compete with national handicrafts and domestically made goods. It lists the covered articles, assigns the Ministry of Culture (Ministerio de Cultura) responsibility for periodically updating a list of controlled products, and provides for enforcement, fines and seizure. It would also repeal Law 21 of January 30, 1967.
