Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes changes to consumers’ and clients’ rights concerning the use and transmission of their credit histories. It also requires notices about inquiries into those histories, restricts their use in employment decisions, and provides penalties for very serious violations. The measures would be incorporated into Law 24 of 2002.
