Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes removing limitation periods for criminal prosecution and penalties for sexual offenses committed against minors. This applies to offenses against sexual freedom and integrity when the victim was a minor at the time of the act. It would amend the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code. It also recognizes victims’ and survivors’ access to justice without a time restriction and sets the general scope of its provisions.
