The bill proposes to amend Law 113 of November 18, 2019 to distinguish original food products from substitutes or imitations. It requires labels and visible signs in commercial establishments. It also provides for physical separation when the products are displayed together, sets penalties for breaches of labeling and signage rules, and assigns the regulations to the Executive Branch through the Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority (ACODECO).
