Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes rules for increases in tuition, monthly fees and other charges at private schools, involving families. The Ministry of Education (Ministerio de Educación) also participates. The bill provides for advance notice, technical justification of proposed increases, a parent vote and a process for objections. It also addresses access to records, parents’ right of association and sanctions for retaliation against students.
