Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to prohibit food and beverages for human consumption in Panama if they contain the synthetic artificial colorants listed in Annex A. The ban covers their manufacture, importation and sale; it establishes a transition period, withdrawal and labeling obligations, health controls and penalties. It also provides technical support and temporary incentives to replace those colorants with alternatives of natural origin.
