Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes extending maternity employment protection to one adoptive parent from the formal placement of the child. The protection would last for a period equivalent to that provided for biological mothers after childbirth. It sets eligibility requirements, addresses termination of the protection and its extension to the adoptive father if the mother dies, and makes dismissal subject to just cause.
