Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes rules for approving, publishing, purchasing and selling school textbooks, uniforms and supplies in educational institutions. They apply to public and private institutions. The bill limits purchases that schools could require of families, provides for parental participation in certain changes, and establishes textbook reuse, complaints, repayment and penalties. It also amends Law 47 of 1946 concerning textbook approval periods and oversight of official lists.
