The draft bill proposes to amend the law governing the practice of engineering, architecture and related disciplines in Panama. It sets rules on professional qualifications, authorized functions, ethics, continuing education and a public register. It also provides for liability and penalties and assigns verification duties to the Engineering and Architecture Technical Board (JTIA) and municipalities.
