Summary of the bill.
The bill amends the reserve areas established by the Mineral Resources Code with respect to settlements, cities, metropolitan areas and tourist areas. It proposes to prevent new nonmetallic mineral concessions in those areas, reject pending applications and require buffer zones for concessions that remain in operation.
