Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes rules for the importation, sale, possession, carrying and use of less lethal defensive devices in the Republic of Panama. It covers electroshock weapons and pepper spray and assigns oversight and authorization to the Public Security Affairs Directorate (Dirección de Asuntos de Seguridad Pública, DIASP). It also sets licensing, training and sales requirements and a period for registering devices already possessed.
