Summary of the bill.
The bill would amend Law 1 of January 19, 2018, on the free supply of reusable bags by commercial establishments. Establishments would supply reusable bags or environmentally friendly alternatives to consumers at no additional cost. The Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority (Autoridad de Protección al Consumidor y Defensa de la Competencia) would enforce that requirement, and reasonable limits on bags supplied per transaction would be allowed, provided they impose no cost or unjustified restriction on access to the service.
