Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes making pharmaceutical care a component of the right to health throughout the public, private, and mixed national health system. It provides for pharmacists to participate in care teams and monitor treatments individually, and assigns the Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud) responsibility for setting criteria for gradual implementation. It also provides for training, implementing regulations, and penalties for noncompliance.
