Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes adding sports corruption offenses to the Criminal Code (Código Penal) of the Republic of Panama (República de Panamá). It would penalize giving or accepting an improper advantage to alter the result or an event of an official sports competition, as well as failure to report such conduct by people who manage or work for sports entities. It would also add these offenses to the activities listed in Article 254 as possible sources of assets.
