Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes public merit and credential competitions for director posts in public hospitals and health centers. The competitions would cover regional, institutional and medical director posts in public hospitals under the Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud), health centers and related facilities of the Social Security Fund (Caja de Seguro Social). It sets eligibility requirements, creates a selection commission, and establishes evaluation and appeal procedures, terms of office, reporting duties and grounds for removal.
