Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes clearing police records after sentences for specified offenses are completed to facilitate social reintegration. The procedure covers people who have completed their sentences, defines included and excluded offenses, and requires proof of sentence completion and, where applicable, compensation of the victim. It also limits disclosure and use of cleared records and provides for loss of the benefit upon a new conviction.
