Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes transforming IDAAN into the National Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, responsible for providing those services. The autonomous entity would provide water supply and sanitary sewerage services in the areas under its jurisdiction. It organizes the Authority’s leadership, regional offices and rural services, and sets rules for its assets, budget, procurement, personnel, rates, subsidies and dealings with users.
