The draft bill proposes to regulate crowdfunding in the Republic of Panama through authorization and supervision of platforms. It also sets rules for publishing projects and disclosure obligations toward investors. It establishes financial requirements, fundraising and investment limits, violations, and penalties. It also proposes to exempt certain crowdfunding offerings from registration by adding a provision to Decree Law 1 of 1999.
