Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes a national plan for cancer prevention, detection, care, rehabilitation, palliative care, surveillance, and research. The plan would coordinate these activities in the Republic of Panama. It recognizes the rights of people with cancer, organizes a network of oncology services and an epidemiological registry, and assigns planning, monitoring, and evaluation duties to health institutions.
