Summary of the bill.
The draft bill would amend Article 135 of the Criminal Code (código penal) to set penalties for violent conduct that causes or induces a victim’s suicide. It also proposes adding Article 135-A, addressing evidence that could be considered to identify patterns of violence and establish causation. The proposed law would apply to cases still under investigation.
