Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes a twenty percent (20%) discount on medicines for children up to twelve years of age at pharmacies. It would apply to purchases with a prescription issued in the child’s name at public and private pharmacies. It also establishes a tax credit for private establishments that grant the discount, assigns oversight and complaint resolution to the consumer protection authority, and provides fines for noncompliance.
