Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code (Código Procesal Penal) to expand consensual ways of ending criminal proceedings. It allows requests until the trial debate opens, expands the role of the Trial Court (Tribunal de Juicio) in withdrawal of the punitive claim, conciliation, mediation, conditional suspension, and agreements, and requires the court to ask the parties about possible resolutions before the debate.
