Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes to amend Law 456 of November 15, 2024 to coordinate cultural protection of the Colonial Transisthmian Route of Panama. The coordination covers the ruins of the Capilla de la Palangana or Capilla de Cárdenas and protected area management. It gives precedence to the instruments establishing protected areas and their management plans, requires cultural and environmental authorities to participate in approvals, and provides for joint approval of the Route’s management plan.
