Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes continued private health insurance coverage for people aged 60 or older in Panama. It also proposes access to new plans even when they have preexisting conditions. It sets limited grounds for terminating coverage, rules for renewal and conversion of group policies, waiting periods, and premium controls under the supervision of the Superintendence of Insurance (Superintendencia de Seguros).
