Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes to amend Law 51 of June 28, 2017, on road freight transport and authorized domestic carriers in Panama. It reserves overland movement of cargo from specified facilities to authorized domestic carriers and regulates international operations under the principle of reciprocity. It also sets conditions for replacing carriers, prohibits actions that alter authorized operations, and provides for joint enforcement, information sharing and electronic traceability.
