Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes amendments to Articles 42 and 45 of Law 42 of 1999 concerning employment of persons with disabilities. It assigns the Ministry of Labor and Workforce Development (Ministerio de Trabajo y Desarrollo Laboral) permanent campaigns for businesses on that employment, along with oversight, enforcement, follow-up and technical assistance duties. It also establishes a contribution payable by private companies that refuse to hire or retain 2% qualified staff with disabilities.
