Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes measures to prevent, address and penalize online scams and other offenses involving the misuse of electronic media. It would require businesses offering goods or services through websites to publish identifying and address information, obtain a certificate of compliance and keep that information current. It also provides consequences for noncompliance and assigns implementing regulations to the Executive Branch.
