Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes to audit and publish information on public resources used during states of emergency, including the COVID-19 emergency. It would cover the COVID-19 state of emergency from March 2020 through December 2022 and other states of emergency. It establishes mandatory reports, mechanisms for complaints and investigations, consequences for noncompliance, and a temporary commission to oversee accountability.
