Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes to amend Article 212 of the Labor Code (Código de Trabajo) to identify the workers excepted from Article 211. For those cases, it requires the compensation provided for in Article 225 and thirty days’ advance notice of dismissal or payment in lieu of notice. It also governs back pay and surcharges when a dismissal is challenged.
