Summary of the bill.
The bill amends Law 69 of 2001 to regulate the production and marketing of panela, or unrefined cane sugar, through updated definitions. It sets health and technical requirements and measures supporting the sector. It also reorganizes the national program and advisory commission, provides for research and credit, and sets prohibitions and penalties concerning production, smuggling, and labeling.
