Summary of the bill.
The bill proposes gradually replacing certain expanded and extruded polystyrene articles used with food and beverages. The transition would last forty-eight (48) months, with exceptions subject to technical and health requirements. It also establishes controls on resins and biodegradable additive processing, an extended producer responsibility regime, information and inspection duties, and administrative penalties.
