Summary of the bill.
The draft bill proposes adding to the Health Code a licensing system for food handlers, administered by the Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud). It establishes a Unified Health Card, a registry and electronic records to document and verify licensing. It also provides for the temporary validity of existing documents, updates to regulations and a deferred effective date.
