Summary of the bill.
The bill would amend public electricity service rules on provider intervention and competition for distribution concessions. It would also govern the duties of electricity companies, address rural electrification, adjust tariff rules, establish customers’ rights concerning service quality failures and billing complaints, and expand the regulator’s sanctioning and debt collection powers.
